Mattresses

We carry many different sizes of futon mattresses. Twin (Single), Full (Double) and Queen are the most popular, but we have Ottoman, Loveseat and Chair sizes as well. All of our 8" thick futons come with a Guarantee from the Manufacturer (Wolf). And remember, it's a good thing to flip over your futon mattress every once in a while to give it even wear. You'll get more years of use out of it that way.

 

We also carry futons made by Otis Bed from Buffalo, NY. We have the 'Moonshadow' and 'Cush' styles on display in the store. You'll have to come in and try them. The 'Moonshadow' is made from very high quality foam and wrapped in polyester fiber. It'll last for a real long time with the heaviest of use! The 'Cush' is excellent foam wrapped in pre-compressed cotton. It is rather firm and holds it shape very well. We don't have pictures of these two futons, so you'll just have to come in and see the real ones in full living color!

6" COTTON/FOAM FUTON

Made with 2" high-density foam core. On either side is 2" of high quality cotton batting. Since they're the easiest to fold, 6" futons go on tri-fold frames like the Stealth and the Basic Slat-Chair. They can work as a couch on a bifold frame, but our 8" futons are more suited to that role.

8" COTTON/FOAM DELUXE FUTON

A Wolf Deluxe Model. We carry the version that has two layers of 2" high-density foam instead of just one. More foam in the construction means this futon holds up very well and offers a good value. Cotton is blended with polyester fibres to help keep it from matting down too quickly. The folks at Wolf call this their Aerolife cotton.

8" INNERSPRING FUTON

Uses excellent 13 guage metal in its construction (the lower the gauge the better) along with two layers of high-density foam and Aerolife cotton. If you need a futon that is going to be in the family room and used as a couch quite often, this is a great choice.



8" LATEX PLUSH FUTON

Uses the fine combination of high-density finger-foam and Aerolife cotton along with two layers of Latex foam. This futon offers a great feel and will last you a real long time. The Latex Plush is good for sitting on, but it's comfortable enough to use everyday as a bed. I do, and it's great!

8" POCKET-COIL FUTON

Made up of fabric-wrapped innerspring coils along with high-density finger foam and Aerolife cotton. This futon is the top-of-the-line for us and costs a little more than the others, but it offers fantastic comfort in the role of a couch or a bed. You'll just have to come in to try this one! Bring a blanket and slippers.
